About the Role

We are looking for a Process Engineer specialising in Sheet Metal Fabrication. The role involves designing, optimising, and improving manufacturing processes specific to sheet metal production. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in production operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication (cutting, bending, forming, welding, assembly).

- Optimise process parameters, tooling, and equipment selection.

- Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability (DFM).

- Conduct feasibility and process simulation studies.

- Perform time and motion studies to analyse efficiency and utilisation.

- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma.

- Develop SOPs, process control plans, and work instructions.

- Support production teams, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure quality compliance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.

- Minimum 3 years (ideally 5 years) of Process Engineering experience in Metal Stamping or Sheet Metal Fabrication.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Detail-oriented, with a focus on high-quality results.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or AWS D1.1 standards is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,823.67 per month
