Job Title: Costing Engineer (Sheet Metal)

Reports to: General Manager

DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Summary:

We are currently seeking for an experienced Costing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be required to work out and detailed cost structure and estimations with labor, material and manufacturing costs for new product opportunities and current product cost improvement intent. Liasing with customers (current, new and prospective) studying their requirements on their products, conceptual designs and requirement specifications.

Duties and responsibilities include:-

Possess good knowledge of sheet metal or machining industry. Identify and compute costs by analysing labor, material types and cycle time based on careful study on design product drawing and BOM lists according to product specifications provided by current and new customers. Communicate with Product/Sales Engineer/Superior/Customers to establish final and agreed upon project requirements to ensure meeting Final Buy-off approval and endorsement by GM. Collaborate with project team to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives. Develop and maintain professional liaison with external stakeholders, sub-contractors, client and new prospects. Follow-up closely with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services to meet shipment delivery timelines. Participate and work closely in project discussions and presentations with interdepartmental team members. Undertake projects and work assigned by the company. Adhere to all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications and required skills:

3 - 5 years experience in Costing experience in Manufacturing/Engineering environment in Sheet Metal and Machining exposure. Degree in Engineering or equivalence. Proficiency in MMS/ERP platform Strong organizational, analytical skills, and attention to details and accuracy. Experience in value engineering and cost-saving strategies. Able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints. Knowledge in CAD Software, Solidworks and MS Office.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
