Main missions : As Process Safety Engineer, you are responsible for supporting the Unit operations with technical input to the prevention and mitigation of Major Events Hazards which represent a major risk to personnel, assets, the environment and our Company reputation. Your main role is to act as the Process Safety focal point for the offshore and onshore teams working on your Unit. You play a key role in promoting and embedding strong Process Safety leadership, positive behavior and culture amongst the operations Team. In your role of Process Safety focal point, your main responsibilities are to : Monitor Process Safety Performance and Report progress through the Regional and Operations Management Teams. In consultation with the Regional Process Safety Manager and Regional Management Team, define objectives for Process Safety Management for the unit. Monitor the status of MoC\'s and Process Safety Critical Information on the Unit. Provide forward planning to the Regional Process Safety Manager of upcoming milestones requiring assistance from internal or external resources. Facilitate the input of resources to studies as required. Assist the Unit Manager with planning of Safety Case Reviews and Safety Case Revisions for the FPSO to be carried out via the Operations Safety Case and Process Safety Leads. This includes supporting the implementation of key risk studies like HAZID, HAZOP, QRA and Bow Ties that will be facilitated by others. Monitor implementation of actions for SC reviews. Monitor conditions and manage the revision of the Performance Standards of Safety Critical Elements and associated assurance activities. Verify Safety Critical Procedures, Tasks, Human Performance Standards, understanding and encourage ownership of Process Safety Barriers Perform some Process Safety audits as required to verify effectiveness of barriers. Facilitate Operational Risk Assessments (ORA\'s) to manage risks from degraded barriers or changes in operations to As Low As Reasonably Practicable when required. Manage the implementation of timely LOPC reporting from the unit. Review and support the discussion LOPC events. Lead Investigations for Tier 3 LoPC events as required Support and/or lead as required Tier 1 and Tier 2 Process Safety Events investigations and follow up to ensure actions items are closed. Share best Process Safety practices develop initiatives to learn from other unit operations and from Operations Headquarters Promote and develop the Process Safety Culture on your unit for instance by cascading the PSM campaigns or delivering specific Process Safety awareness sessions Actively contribute to the deployment of Process Safety training programs and communication campaigns. In addition to the role above, you might also be asked to support the Region or the department with the following activities Provide support to Unit HSSE Manager, Unit Facilities Engineer as required Coordinate and attend as required client HSSE/Process Safety audits (OIA) carried out on board and at the Shore Base. Coordinate and attend as required internal ISM/OHSAS18001/ISO14001 audits carried out on board and at the Shore Base. Assist and support the Fleet Emergency Response activities as necessary Job requirements School/studies/degree : Engineering or similar Degree in Process Safety, Chemical, Environmental or Technical Safety or a strong technical/operational experience, with relevant Process Safety qualifications Experience : At least 10 years\' experience in the Oil and Gas / FPSO Operations Strong technical/site experience or Process Safety Management experience Valid offshore medical certificate, BOSIET/HUET required for the position Knowledge of the International Sustainability Rating System, TapRooT Incident Analysis and BowTie XP Behaviours & inter-personal skills - Key points Ability to work effectively in diverse cultures and regions.
