About the role:
As a
Process Technician
reports directly to the Process Executive and is responsible for supporting production and engineering activities related to product assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. This role ensures that products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards, assists in process improvements, and provides technical support on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to current departmental procedures and work standards.;
Assist in collecting data to establish accurate standards of time for production processes.
Support the preparation of the monthly Process Engineering Department report.
Assist in developing correct assembly processes that enable the Production Department to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
Contribute to productivity and efficiency improvement programs to help meet market and business demands.
Assist in performing line balancing activities on production assembly lines to optimize workflow and output.
Support cost reduction initiatives and capacity studies to improve operational efficiency.
Assist in the design and maintenance of jigs and fixtures that are practical and user-friendly for production personnel.
Help identify and specify the appropriate tools and equipment required for effective assembly processes.
Conduct regular checks on production lines to identify, report, and correct non-conforming assembly processes that may affect product quality.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements in all assigned tasks.
Carry out any other duties or responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field.
At least 1-2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in process engineering or production support).
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production workflow.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Experience in using measurement tools, jigs and fixtures, and production equipment.
Knowledge in ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 systems is an advantage.
Able to collect and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
Good troubleshooting skills for process-related issues.
Detail-oriented with strong commitment to product quality.
Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and perform hands-on tasks on the production floor.
