We are looking for : Procurement Assistant Manager
Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang
To Support Overall Procurement activities and functions including any Adhoc requirements on need basis.
Direct Report to Procurement Senior Manager.
Supplier Assessment and Performance CPI /KPI- Vendor management /audit and identify potential right supplier

Manage Quotation , Bidding , Tender ,Purchase Order and Service Contract management.

Drive and achieve Cost Saving in line with annual Spend target .

Handling of Category Management

Support in preparing of monthly Procurement Report

Indirect purchase & sourcing, engaging with suppliers for services and MRO (Maintenance, repair & operation ) rather than raw product

Able to contribute intensive knowledge of suppliers management and share market expertise /right source in day to day task as well identification and development of innovations

Vendor management, vendor audits, contract management, change management and contributing in process improvement

Able to initiate and willing to support or leading improvement /innovative projects .

Skills in problem solving and negotiations as well in depth analysis of quotation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office e.g. excel , word and Power Point

Experience in SAP, Jaggaer ( Bravo) system and JDE and Tender biding process knowhow is desirable

Ensure compliance of code of conduct and integrity

Keeping an eye on sourcing activities
Easing the path for the country team\xe2\x80\x99s procurement activities will be your main concern. You\xe2\x80\x99ll assist in drafting requirements for bidding and conduct various sourcing references\xe2\x80\x95including requests for information, proposals and quotations. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also draw up contracts and find opportunities to drive costs down. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be expected to always be ready in the face of any pricing issues that may arise. On top of these, you\xe2\x80\x99ll lend support to our solutions department team, so part of your strategic plan should be to get the best pricing that\xe2\x80\x99s in line with their tenders.
Are you adept in monitoring and generating reports? In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll handle the development, implementation and maintenance of purchase orders and benchmark reports. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also carry out scheduled audits to ensure that both contract and insurance requirements are met. To excel in this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also take part in growing the business by actively participating in tender/pricing activities.

You should have an eye for vendors who can deliver on time and live up to our quality standards\xe2\x80\x95at the right price. A strong relationship based on trust pays off with great dividends, that\xe2\x80\x99s why building lasting relationships with the right vendors and suppliers should be second nature to you. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also spend a lot of time keeping track of their performance to make sure that we partner with only the best ones.
Also part of your mandate is to support our supply chain management team by developing and looking after vendor management programms, ensuring seamless negotiation processes and promoting effective project coordination. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also see to it that transition and information updates are well in place.

Are you a degree holder with 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement processes? Are you a stickler for key business goals and results? Do you put customer satisfaction at the forefront? If you said yes to all these, we\xe2\x80\x99re more than happy to work with you.
An effective communicator
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be teaming up with people across various departments, so a good command of spoken and written English and other non-English languages\xe2\x80\x95coupled with superior people skills\xe2\x80\x95will be indispensable in this role. You should also be proficient in all MS applications to land this job.
