Procurement Assistant Manager

Job Description



Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for various purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards. Ensure timely procurement of items such as rewards and customize gifts, software renewals existing or new and other business - related purchases where needed. Develop and implement procurement strategies to streamline purchasing processes and enhance operational efficiency. Assist in RFI (Request for Information) tender process, including researching new/current vendors to survey and visiting their business to assess and establish their capabilities. Identify and establish strong relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure quality service and favorable pricing. Responsible for Product Quality control (PQC), internal customer interaction, supplier interaction. Value Analysis (VA) support, supplier component development and approval and supplier cost improvements. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices. Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost optimization and financial control. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier data details for audit purposes. Optimize procurement spending and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Manage supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract agreement to secure the best terms for the company. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals. Conduct market research to identify product and pricing trends. Perform all other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements



Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration, Inventory Management/Logistic/Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 5 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Required language: Chinese, Malay, English Proven ability to manage multiple projects and vendor effectively. Strong organizational with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work and time management skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess costs and make data-driven purchasing decisions. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities. Experience with procurement software and data analytics tools. Able to travel when required.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
