Executive Recruitment Company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia\'s Healthcare Division is recruiting on behalf of a Pharmaceutical online service provider seeking an energetic and ambitious Regional Procurement Lead with a background in Pharma to oversee all procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, contract preparation, and tender management. The Regional Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring that products adhere to quality and regulatory standards, and coordinating with forwarders for timely shipment delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers for new/existing Ethical medicine, OTC products, and packaging.
• Continuously manage existing suppliers to ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and margin targets are met.
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier database, ensuring lead times, contract terms, and inventory availability are accurate.
• Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the quality of products and production equipment.
• Ensure that products adhere to quality and regulatory standards.
• Place purchase orders as necessary, ensuring that they are received and paid as required.
• Coordinate with forwarders to ensure shipment delivery is on track.
• Assist superiors with other administrative tasks and support day-to-day operational work.
• Establish key performance metrics for the Procurement team and ensure that these metrics are consistently achieved.
• Understand evolving business needs and ensure that the team is well-positioned to exceed customer expectations.
• Use new technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities within the organization.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
• Continuously review performance and future needs to ensure that the team scales efficiently and effectively.

• Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Procurement Supply Chain Management or Commerce or Business.
• 5+ years of experience in Procurement; 3+ years\' experience within pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience as a Buyer with 5 years of working experience; Open to explore in Procurement role.
• A growth mindset, a hunger to learn and expand horizons.
