Job Description


In this role, you will be accountable to lead the Indirect Procurement segment which entails Engineering and Services. You will also have the opportunity to drive improvements and instil best practises into the department.

As the Procurement Manager (Indirect Category), you will have a team of 10 and will be responsible for the job scope below:

  • To lead and manage the Indirect Procurement department to improve the level of performance and quality and oversee daily operation of Indirect Procurement Department.
  • To develop, lead and execute procurement strategies.
  • To track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Cost saving - Develop cost reduction strategies in order to negotiate price for indirect items.
  • Provide leadership to department. Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
  • Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
  • Develop and maintain Procurement policies and procedures that are responsive and enable good control in conducting procurement activities.
  • Identify, develop and implement various procurement projects that will provide continuous improvement in the procurement processes and activities to enable better performance and support.
  • Manage the group insurance policies and claims
  • Implement best practices to improve transparency, increase competitiveness and responsiveness of the procurement processes.
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations & tenders, and manage commercial relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Develop and improve supplier management with objective to develop a stable, capable and competitive supplier base to provide on time, competitive, quality goods and services in meeting costumer\'s requirement.
  • Deliver the needs of other tasks as assigned by Group Financial Officer time to time inline with the role and expectations

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience across the Procurement function - Sourcing, preferably within FMCG
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a People Manager
  • Possess a Bachelor\'s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or the equivalent
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen, able to manage contracting process
  • Able to prioritise, focus, persevere, manage time well and aim to deliver from start to finish (good project management skills), while being tolerant and having patience with people
  • Detail oriented, strategic, creative, analytical and good with numbers and analysis tools
