Company Overview
Our client is a leading retail property group managing a chain of shopping malls across the Klang Valley. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Forecast and plan procurement needs for mall operations, marketing, tenancy fit-out, and maintenance.
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to ensure value for money.
- Lead RFQ, RFP, and tender processes in line with company SOPs.
- Monitor budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Support fit-out, renovation, asset replacement, and CAPEX projects.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and use ERP/e-procurement systems.
- Collaborate with Mall Management, Finance, and Group Procurement on key procurement matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience (retail, mall, construction, or property procurement preferred).
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong commercial acumen, cost control mindset, and ethical standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Added Advantage
- Experience in mall or retail procurement environment.
- Familiarity with tenancy fit-out works and local procurement regulations.
- Knowledge of esg Compliant sourcing or green procurement practices.
