Job Description


Job Summary Leads and oversees the organization\xe2\x80\x99s procurement strategies, manager supplier relationships, and ensures the cost-effective acquisition of quality goods and services and supervises the Purchasing and Warehouse teams.
Key Accountabilities
1. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet the organization\xe2\x80\x99s procurement needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

2. Strategic Procurement
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Continuously review and optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain developments to identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate procurement and supply chain related to ensure continuity of operations.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Prepare procurement budgets
  • Forecast supply chain trends and implications

5. Purchasing and Warehouse Oversight
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
  • Lead the Warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet customers demands and minimize stock outs..

Other Responsibilities
1. Team Management
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team across Purchasing and Warehouse functions.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to improve skill of the team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members

2. Compliance and Regulations
  • Ensure procurement and warehouse practices comply with regulations
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards

Requirements 1. Bachelor\xc2\xb4s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2. Proficient in supply chain management, contract negotiation, market research, and procurement tools/ software, purchasing procedures, and warehouse operations. 3. Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is a plus. 4. At least 5 years in procurement, purchasing, or warehouse management roles. 5. Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, leadership qualities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
