As a Procurement Operations Specialist in Penang, Malaysia you will:

• Apply basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks.
• Good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
• Work on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require basic problem resolution and independent judgment.
• Allocate own time efficiently.
• Receive general instructions on all work.
• Provide independent, analytic, and strategic support
• Devise and use effective sourcing strategies
• Discover and evaluate profitable and competent tooling/equipment vendors and initiate business partnerships
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and cost saving
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Manage and negotiation of business contract
• Partner with FA and process team in the development of long-range sourcing strategies
• Be subject matter expert in the Tooling acquisition market
• Solve complex issues and drives tactical and strategic initiatives, such as leading process standardizations, executing program strategies, overcoming schedule delay
• Monitor contract performance following contract placement to ensure compliance with contractual obligation

Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:

• First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree.
• Preferably (but not a must) 3-6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain
• function or supplier management
• Good analytical and technical aptitude
• Good business application skills
• Good communication skills
• Good understanding of corporate compliance
• Good project management skills
