Job Description

Responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, fittings and small equipment for projects; compare prices across local and Chinese platforms (Taobao / Alibaba), present recommendations to management, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, cost-efficiency and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Source and purchase materials, fixtures and finishing items required by projects; obtain at least

3 competitive quotations

for each non-standard purchase.

2. Compare prices across local vendors and Chinese platforms (Taobao, Alibaba) and present a clear cost-comparison summary (unit cost, MOQ, lead time, shipping/tax) for management decision.

3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and warranty with suppliers; secure best overall value (price + lead time + quality).

4. Prepare and present weekly / ad-hoc procurement reports and purchasing proposals to the management team, including a recommended option and rationale.

5. Issue Purchase Orders (PO), follow up on production and delivery, and monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness).

6. Coordinate with Logistics / Warehouse / Project Team for delivery scheduling, offloading requirements and QC acceptance.

7. Maintain and update approved supplier list and price database (local & China suppliers); archive quotations, contracts and invoices.

8. Handle import procedures where necessary (freight quotes, customs documentation, incoterms basics) and coordinate with freight forwarders.

9. Conduct basic quality checks on received materials and raise NCRs with suppliers when required.

10. Keep records in the company server; ensure procurement documents are saved and backed up per company SOPs.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
