In this role you will be responsible to perform Engineering & Services procurement activities for engineering projects in line with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints, supporting new product development / projects through to the ongoing supply of quality goods and services whilst delivering maximum value for Cochlear along with the achievement of set key performance indicators (KPI\xe2\x80\x99s).Key Responsibilities:The Procurement Specialist - Engineering Services (KL) role will play as an effective partner with both internal and external stakeholders and accountable for engineering services procurement activities for the assigned tasks. The role will seek to collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, specifications, and standards for respective projects, and ensure alignment with procurement processes.In this role you will be responsible for:

• Conducting and supporting local Strategic Sourcing activities that support the site as required in line with Cochlear\xe2\x80\x99s strategic initiatives and outcomes. Accountable for the execution of the category strategy when outlined.
• Overall supplier delivery management for assigned product portfolios and categories which includes supplier performance measurement, including but not limited to such measures as delivery, quality, capacity, cost etc.
• Managing vendor performance through regular evaluations and feedback mechanisms to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and project specifications.
• Responsible for supplier issues resolution for underperformance or complaints from stakeholders, and escalation to Procurement Manager if required.
• Responsible for assessing, reducing, or eliminating supplier risks and managing supplier related changes.
• Responsible for supplier and internal stakeholder relationship management and establishing appropriate communication channels.
• Managing Procurement activities during product development / site projects, handover and launch such as but not limited to supplier capability and production readiness, supplier performance management, order and stock management, forecasting and contract execution.
• Influencing internal stakeholders and customers to adopt and comply with strategic sourcing and procurement management policies, processes, and systems.
• Working cross functionally in developing solutions, engaging, and influencing multiple business units for a better outcome.
• Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to identify best practices and innovative solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering or Procurement, Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in Procurement in Engineering field is a MUST for this role.
• Experience working in fast-paced hi-tech manufacturing environment is a MUST for this role
• Demonstrated use of Procurement ERP system (e.g Oracle, SAP or other ERP system) is highly essential for this role.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills is required for this position.
• MUST have good knowledge or exposure to high-tech manufacturing or engineering-focused manufacturing.
• Demonstrated understanding to Quality Policy and ISO is required for this role.
• Candidate MUST have sound knowledge in sourcing engineering related materials/services.
• MUST have experience in managing stakeholders at all levels and across different regions.
• The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language is required for this position.
• Candidates with working experience in Global MNC companies will have added advantage.
