\xc2\xb7Generating sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes. \xc2\xb7Preparing detailed final designs. \xc2\xb7Keeping informed about design trends and developments. \xc2\xb7Studying, researching and planning various styles of furniture design. \xc2\xb7Evaluating issues such as pricing and fixing costs, fashion, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques. \xc2\xb7Using various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items; \xc2\xb7Attending workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design. \xc2\xb7Organizing plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources. \xc2\xb7Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles. \xc2\xb7Liaising with production staff about the process of manufacture. \xc2\xb7Finding ways to improve furniture items already manufactured; \xc2\xb7To conduct furniture related in house product testing. \xc2\xb7To ensure accurate record on the packing methods and carton size. \xc2\xb7To update and maintain the product Bill of Material (BOM) record. Job Requirement \xc2\xb7A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in fine arts with a concentration in furniture design. \xc2\xb7Prefer candidate with at least 1-3 years Furniture related background.
