Product Designer (furniture Division)
Job Description
1. Generating sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes. 2. Preparing detailed final designs. 3. Keeping informed about design trends and developments. 4. Studying, researching and planning various styles of furniture design. 5. Evaluating issues such as pricing and fixing costs, fashion, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques. 6. Using various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items; 7. Attending workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design. 8. Organizing plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources. 9. Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles. 10. Liaising with production staff about the process of manufacture. 11. Finding ways to improve furniture items already manufactured; 12. To conduct furniture related in house product testing. 13. To ensure accurate record on the packing methods and carton size. 14. To update and maintain the product Bill of Material (BOM) record. Job Requirement 1. A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in fine arts with a concentration in furniture design. 2. Prefer candidate with at least 1-3 years Furniture related background. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month Schedule:
