We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town, Malaysia. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative products from concept to production, ensuring high-quality and efficient manufacturing processes.
Design and develop new products using CAD software and engineering principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements
Create and maintain product documentation, including technical drawings and bills of materials
Conduct product testing and analysis to ensure quality and performance standards are met
Optimize existing products for improved functionality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
Manage product lifecycle using PLM software and implement design changes as needed
Develop prototypes and oversee the transition from prototype to full-scale production
Troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues in manufacturing and field applications
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing processes
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field
3-5 years of experience in product engineering or related field
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material science
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies
Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (e.g., consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or client meetings
