Job Description


Due to onboarding some exciting new clients and expanding our portfolio, we have created a new Product Manager position for General Laboratory products to join our Technology Business. This role focuses on ensuring DKSH Australia implements & maintains strong and sustainable client relationships through the delivery and management of product information to the Australian Scientific Instrumentation team and its customers.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve Budgeted GM1 growth targets applicable to the portfolio.
  • Meet key suppliers regularly to establish and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Understand and keep up with market, competitor and product trends and translate this analysis into targeted demand generation activities.
  • Work with marketing to ensure alignment between product portfolio strategy and demand generation activities (including conferences, campaigns, digital marketing, advertising etc)
  • Develop short- & long-term sales action plans to deliver growth in revenue & profit for the assigned territory and support the sales team with relevant tools and technical support.
  • Completion and submission of tenders for General Laboratory products by liaising with clients, sales manager, and business manager.
  • Provide input to business budgetary process.
  • Prepare and report as per the client and INS business requirements. This includes regular business activity reports to existing key client\'s including updates to sales activities, marketing events and forecasts.
  • Submit all expense claims in-line with DKSH policies.
  • Plan, working with all departments to execute, and focusing on existing customers and target customers to address the Total Market Opportunity
  • Provide input to the global product team in line with these trends to introduce new products and ensure the portfolio is meeting local market needs and opportunities.
  • Complete the onboarding process for all new approved clients including parts creations, part updates and organising training for the sales team.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider sales, marketing & supporting teams to refine processes, maximise efficiencies and outcomes. Support the sales team with any technical or application support that may be required throughout the sales process (when required) including coordinating supplier webinars or demonstrations.
  • Capture all relevant sales and marketing information in the CRM system (actively & regularly utilise SFDC database to plan & record all key activities as required).
  • Ensure travel costs are minimized where possible when performing product demonstrations, attending seminars, exhibits and other trade / marketing events.
About You

You will establish a deep understanding of the Scientific General Laboratory market (Equipment, Consumables and Chemicals) and customer needs and clearly communicate product strategy to the INS Business Manager, Sales Manager and Sales Team. You will have the opportunity to utilise your critical thinking and demonstrate your leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships with clients, customers, internal and external stakeholders. You are well established in your career and have a minimum of 5 years\' experience working in sales/account management in a scientific-related field. Previous Product Management experience in a scientific-related field preferred
