PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • The role is to develop and implement agreed, focused marketing strategies to achieve growth in product sales and market share expansion. Perform a range of activities to market assigned products/brands/new products to increase market share and enhance SBD presence in Malaysia and Singapore market.
  • To manage the Product manager for Black and Decker products as well as marketing communication staff in Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Develop new product introduction launch campaign and market execution plans to grow sales and profits in the category(s) of responsibility.
  • Proactively manage the portfolio of products within the category(s). Implement and monitor strategies including product positioning, demand forecasting, product updates and/or obsolescence.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with country director and channel managers to develop appropriate programs and promotions to deliver quarterly and annual budget. High focus on eCommerce and Modern Channel. Develop the necessary marketing tools to enable our channel teams to successfully close the sales.
  • Review demand forecast with Demand Planner and Sales Team monthly to ensuring supply chain provide sufficient stocks meeting customer demand.
  • Lead and interact globally with various cross functional teams and departments such as Product Development Team, Asia Product Marketing Team and Brand Digital Team to collaborate and deliver objectives on schedule.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of competitive & market information including product catalogs, price lists, current promotions, new product introductions and regulatory issues. Establish key market initiatives and design marketing programs to increase market share.
  • Monitor and control A&P budget by optimizing the allocated budget given.
  • Provides critical analysis based on pricing and volume analysis before making decision. Understanding the overall margin to safeguard company SGM and P&L.
  • Able to identify product gaps and re-position the product category to meet the market demand.
  • Develop product marketing plans in conjunction with the Brand, Digital, eCommerce teams, Channel Sales Manager including key activities and budgets necessary for demand generation.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for PT externally, including customer presentations, training, online messaging among others.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires a Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related area
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing/Sales roles(s).
  • Position requires accomplished analytic, written, verbal and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated track record of achievements in positions or increasing responsibilities, problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time.
  • Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office and Internet usage is required.
