For further information, please visit .The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Product Owner with Playout Automation domain experience to work with our global R&D teams on our ground breaking range of AMPP live production, playout and asset management tools. The product owner will be responsible for defining the product backlog and making business critical decisions on backlog priorities. The Product Owner is expected to work together with the R&D development team, product management,CTO, pre sales teams, devops and delivery engineers, project managers and customer support organization to get detailed information on backlog scope and make best decisions on priorities. Other responsibilities include supporting the scrum team, finding out all necessary information to enrich the backlog, managing backlog items, and optimizing the value of the product(s). You should also be able to learn and teach others about the organization\'s vision and mission.As a product owner, you should have the ability to plan and manage the development project from start to finish and ensure that the product(s) meet the customer\'s needs. A top-notch product owner will be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. A detailed understanding of vision mixing and real world broadcast experience will also be essential. Our R&D organization is global: Canada, UK, Malaysia, and Poland (Krak\xc3\xb3w).Product owner ResponsibilitiesDefining product features according to customer (external and internal) needs.Leading the development process.Acting as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders.Managing and prioritizing product backlog items.Assisting the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint.Adjusting and improving each iteration of the product before release.Identifying areas of improvement.Keeping customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product.Strategizing and presenting ideas to stakeholders.Working with the presales team to help with designing solutions for key strategic customers.Some customer visits to understand how they are using our products and to elicit feedback.Product Owner RequirementsBA in computer science, information systems, or related field.Broadcast experience with playout automation domain knowledgeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills, written and verbal.We are communicating in English, knowing other languages on top is a big plus.Additional (recommended) requirementsFluency in Confluence, JIRA and AzureDevOps.Previous working experience as a product owner.In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies.Experience in Sphinx and GIT.Experience in Media, Broadcast, OTT, Consumer devices industries.Experience in UI and/or UX design.Experience in software quality assurance.Any SCRUM or equivalent certificate for Product Owner or other.Understanding of AWS cloud services.Grass Valley offers competitive compensation packages in an energizing and supportive work environment.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work involved for this job.
