Production Engineer MAIN MISSION: The Production Engineer will actively contribute to good development of our client in Malaysia by using all his/her skills from the beginning of production stage till the delivery of the equipment with the ultimate objective to bring full satisfaction to our clients. The Company Our client is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, installing and assuring the maintenance of lifting & handling systems for oil & gas, nuclear, military and renewable energy industries Their mission is to ensure the success of complex projects for specific industries, constantly striving to answer our clients\' needs by adapting our services and finding innovative solutions Our client has its headquarters in France and is now looking to further develop its regional office in Malaysia. He/she carries out production tasks such as capacity planning review and optimize manpower, machine utilization rate for the factory. He/she keep tracks the approval of the project (manufacturing) related documents such as Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), FAT Procedures, Painting Procedures, NDE Procedure, and Welding Book etc. before the production stage. He/she participates in production meetings with suppliers & with production team members. He/she produces QA/QC reports such as FAT Reports, NDE Reports, and (Material) Heat Number Listing Report etc. He/she participates and provides solutions in manufacturing concern discussion with suppliers/manufacturers, e.g. painting, galvanizing, machining etc. He/she participates in production operation related works, e.g. dismantle, fabrication, treatment, assembly, FAT, packing and logistics, in objective of understanding equipment better & gaining knowledge of manufacturing limitations. He/she undertakes the role as production focal point for assigned projects independently. He/she is able to process and interpret the engineering drawings by the Mechanical Engineer, then delegate the tasks to the suppliers or internal production team. He/she is responsible to investigate and provide solutions pertaining to any manufacturing issues. He/she always involve in continuous improvement activity to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing-related issues or assignments. He/she ensure conformity with client\'s specifications of all production aspects of the projects he/she is in charge He/she provides prompt response to all manufacturing clarifications raise by suppliers and production team. He/she is in charge of the creation of the manufacturing related documentation for the projects. He/she is versatile, such, has the opportunity to lead additional missions in accordance with his/her skills. He/she is able to work independently with organization skills and ability to manage own workload under deadline. He/she is in charge of managing the group of (internal/ external) workers together with the Workshop Lead in Malaysia. He/she is responsible to keep track the inventory level of stock items, specifically to long lead items. WORK RELATIONSHIP The Production Engineer reports to the Industrial Manager in Malaysia He/she works closely with the workshop team, procurement team and quality team in Malaysia He/she works closely with Mechanical Engineers in Malaysia/ France He/she is actively contributing to the good relationships with local partners (suppliers and clients) TASKS (Non-exhaustive list) Carry out design review and inform the fabrication limitations with the Mechanical Engineer. Carry out the production technical documentation Report the progress of his missions, alert in advance is there are any identified manufacturing deviations Facilitate the production team in the assembly / disassembly of the equipment As part of his/her missions, he/she may be requested to travel in France and other countries for short periods Responsibilities The Production Engineer is responsible for the conformity of the studies he/she is in charge according to the defined objectives (budget, schedule, specifications, and regulations) He/she is responsible for the conformity of technical documentation he/she is in charge Qualifications And Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent major with minimum 1 year of related experience Adaptable to fast pace MNC environment. Experience in the structural steel fabrication would be an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, collaboration skills. Initiative, good team player and willing to learn and grow with the company. Good fundamental knowledge, specifically to Engineering Workshop, Measurement and Instrumentation, Manufacturing Process & System, Industrial engineering, etc. Basic level in design software (SolidWorks & AutoCAD) to generate manufacturing related reports, e.g. the weld map. Good written and verbal skill in English and Malay. Additional spoken languages: Mandarin and French is a plus.
