Our Manufacturing Department in Port Klang is now looking for a Production Engineer.

What will you be doing?

• To be aware on HSSE and legislation requirements and ensure Risk Assessments, Work Procedures / Instructions / SOPs are available at shop floor for all type of activities.
• To prepare and provide costing of Mechanical assembly and test for tender.
• To plan and execute continual improvement programs related to HSSE, Quality, cost saving, efficiency, productivity, delivery, yield and zero NCR.
• To prepare and follow up on 4M analysis prior to project execution.
• To execute any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager / Management.
• To work base on standard codes (e.g. ISO and API requirement).
• To work on manufacturing processes to achieving the required TAKT time and lead time.
• To provide support to all technical aspects, liaising with engineering on technical matters (TQs, Concessions and Deviations).
• Responsible for PFMEA, control plan, and process documentation.
• To assist Production to follow up on Lesson Learnt compilation and implementation, PFMEA closure rate and status to prevent re-occurrence.
• To actively participation as the lead member by providing direction and support on the non-conformance process, root cause analysis and product impact assessment as non-conformances arise.
• Prepare and execute process flow for Mechanical assembly and test (MAT / Tie-In / Wellhead)
• To design jig and fixtures for QHSE improvement base on SMED and Poka Yoke concept.

We think you should have:

Qualification

• Minimum a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

Abilities and Knowledge

• Familiar with engineering drawings, schematic diagram, GD&T, procedures, codes applicable to pressure components (e.g. ASME etc.) and good understanding in Pressure Test set up, Testing (both Hydro and Gas Test) and HPU system.
• Ability to ensure Mechanical Assembly, Pressure Test-up, Pressure Testing, FAT, EFAT and SIT works as carried out as per HSSE and Quality requirements.
• Good knowledge in 5S and Lean Management (WIP, rework, cycle time, efficiency) at production floor.
• Good interpersonal and communication skill, both verbal and written (English), good analytical skills.
• A team player with leadership skill, good organizational and self-driven, able to work independently and consistent.
• Basic knowledge on codes applicable to pressure components (e.g. ASME, Norsok, API ISO etc.).
• Flexible attitude towards work in high performance team and an eagerness to learn new skills to meet challenges in the industry.
• IT literate with good skills in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP knowledge.
• Good knowledge and ability to create effective / simplified production work instruction.
