Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia\'s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global MNC in designing and producing customized industrial packaging solutions for advanced technology segments industries, known for their sustainable packaging solutions and commitment to reducing their environmental impact through innovative and sustainable packaging materials and design. Our esteemed client is looking to hire a new Production Manager to support their operation at the newly built plant in Penang. The winning incumbent will be reporting directly to Senior Site Operations Manager.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Accountable to execute the new Wooden Crates Operations investment at new plant in Batu, Kawan Penang.
• Lead and manage day to day raw materials planning, production planning, quality, inventory and fulfil daily delivery plan.
• Monitor production cost and overheads and drive process improvement and resources to minimize operating cost.
• Responsible for the loading and supply plan by evaluating production capacity and planned requirements to meet changing demand.
• Maximize operations efficiency and coordinates with production to ensure on time delivery.
• Resolve problems on site as they arise, reducing the impact of unforeseen difficulties.
• Supports customer service in resolution of customer concerns.
• Issues and receives/closes purchase orders to suppliers.
• Track, organize and manage inventory and responsible for 100% stock accuracy by managing & reporting on inventory turns, stock counts & purchase price variance.
• Work closely with sales team to maintain close relationships with customers.
• To carry out any other duties as required from time to time.
• Team player who thrives on deadlines-driven projects and delivers under pressure.
• To build positive working relationships within the group and serve as point of contact for broader corporate initiatives.

• Ensure a clean and maintained environment.
• Able to travel / open to relocation for any future bigger role at regional counterparts in Southeast sites (Malaysia, Thailand, etc.)

• Proven experience in setting up Wooden Crates Operations facilities.
• Minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in Operations, Engineering or equivalent technical engineering background.
• Minimum 5 years\' experience in Wooden Crates Operations, Operations management, Quality or related fields.
• Extensive background in Wooden Crates Packaging (this is a must).
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Possess ability in pricing negotiation skill
• Possess strong leadership skills and strategic mindset.
• Possess strong ability in planning and organizational skills.
• Possess strong communications and presentation skills.
• Familiar with packaging corrugated, foam and wooden crate will be added advantage.
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret complex business-related documents.
• Well-versed with proven ability with MS Office, particularly Excel and Power Point.
• Bi-Lingual capabilities desirable (English/Chinese/Other)
