Job Description

The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the production of bakery products to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient use of resources. This role works closely with production, warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to manage materials, manpower, and daily production flow. It also involves monitoring performance, adjusting schedules as needed, and supporting inventory control in a fast-paced bakery manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities



Plan and schedule weekly production based on confirmed and forecasted orders. Coordinate with the Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging by sharing advance production plans. Monitor production progress for all lines daily and make dynamic scheduling adjustments based on actual performance. Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower is available to support planned production activities. Escalate any production issues or potential delays that may affect sales deliverability to the Production Manager in a timely manner. Serve as the communication liaison between Sales Admin/Operations, Production, and Dispatch teams for any order changes or special arrangements. Generate accurate daily work orders for all production lines, ensuring all information is correct and ready for execution. Collaborate with Support Line Leaders or Supervisors to prepare raw material requisition forms, ensuring effective inventory control. Recommend adjustments to feeder line loading in response to ad-hoc production changes. Lead weekly cycle count activities for trays, pans, and trolleys, and prepare a summary report for the Production Manager. Optimize production schedules to reduce changeover times, such as minimizing flavor changes by planning sequentially. Take ownership of inventory control and procurement of production consumables as needed. Prepare daily meal coupons for production staff in coordination with Supervisors and Line Leaders. Oversee recycling activities related to production consumables, such as pans, trolleys, pails, and scrap metal. Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior or management team.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of working experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to handle a wide range of responsibilities. Proficient in SAP, ERP, or MRP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office is an advantage. Able to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
