Production Planning Analyst

Job Description


The Production Planning Analyst works on the holistic development and implementation of a supply chain that will produce sustained on time delivery performance, targeted customer lead time breakthroughs and optimized financial results. The Production Planner will ensure the Sales and Operations Planning processes efficiently achieve customer service levels.

- General Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for planning production for manufacturing lines. Reviews and maintains manufacturing routings. Generates production plans and shop orders \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyzes requirements and plans for capacity based on forecast as well as what if scenarios \xe2\x80\xa2 Investigates and reports on potential production problems \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinates with production supervisors and purchasing, communicates with customer service to meet customer needs \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyzes requirements and plans for capacity based on forecast as well as what if scenarios \xe2\x80\xa2 Utilizes ERP system to develop, track and maintain key metrics to monitor production performance. Reports KPIs to site management \xe2\x80\xa2 Set finished good inventory goals, review new inventory requirements, and ensure compliance to existing inventory models Experience / Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity \xe2\x80\xa2 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Material Planning based on business forecast, customer order and production scheduling to ensure materials availability.
  • Production planning implement planned production schedules and capacity requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, supplier, SQE, CS, BCS, etc.
  • Inventory control (RAW/WIP/FG).
  • Independently work with Global team, attend meeting, find opportunity and seek solution to fix the issues.
  • Define tactics, working with team to meet global planning metrics (NOTD/DLQ/DOH/E&O reductions).
  • Coordinate resource to support production line move and startup projects.
  • Master at all kinds of Global report, data extraction to support planning related analysis.
  • System maintenance in terms of suppliers related parameters.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or above.
  • Experience in supply chain management.
  • Oracle/ERP maintenance and Excel operating skill.
  • Awareness of customer product.
  • Positive, open-minded, good communication skills and team work spirit.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task. Self directed and driven for success (result oriented).
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external customers. Good negotiation skills.
  • Willing to learn and driving for result.
  • English language ability in reading, writing and speaking.
