is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing operations. This role ensures material availability, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to delivery commitments while supporting smooth production flow within a manufacturing environment.
The Production Planning Executive works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and operational capacity.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Scheduling
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand and forecast.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required to meet delivery timelines.
Coordinate with Production to ensure capacity planning aligns with manpower, machine availability, and material readiness.
Communicate production plans clearly to relevant departments.
2. Material Coordination & Readiness
Coordinate with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Monitor material shortages and proactively escalate potential issues that may impact production.
Support inventory planning to prevent line stoppages due to material constraints.
3. Demand & Forecast Management
Assist in reviewing sales forecasts and translating them into feasible production plans.
Analyze demand changes and support re-planning activities when required.
Maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
4. Production Monitoring & Reporting
Track daily production output against plan and investigate variances.
Prepare production planning reports, including schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and output performance.
Support management reporting with accurate and timely data.
5. ERP / System & Documentation
Maintain production planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routing, and lead times in the system.
Support documentation and records in line with ISO and internal audit requirements.
6. Continuous Improvement & Coordination
Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, production efficiency, and lead time.
Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen or lean manufacturing initiatives.
Support SOP development and workflow improvements related to planning processes.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum
2-5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing company
.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and material flow.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
