Production Quality Technician
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading day-to-day quality control in production ensuring that production quality metrics are met.
The Product Quality Control Technician will focus on employee training, process controls and defect prevention
Product Quality Control Technicians are responsible for conducting First article inspection (FAI) for each product first run and last production run to ensure that products comply with quality standards.
Responsible for Tool / equipment setup verification, SOP setup and verification (e. g. torque specs, controls, etc.) Material setup verification & Ensure operators are certified for respective roles
Identify issues / corrective actions on a real-time basis
Ensure corrective actions are completed on a timely basis
Work with extended team to identify and execute process improvements
Coordinating and processing of CAPA
Take up quality topics and act as interface towards Production and Engineering.
Providing support during certification and customer audits.
Review measuring result with QE prior to non- conformance ticket raise (NCO\xe2\x80\x99s)
Keep measurement equipment clean, in good working order, maintained cleanliness and good 5S environment in the inspection area
May need to work on shift pattern if the business requires it

Education & Experience:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technical education with advanced training in Metrology Engineering preferred or any Engineering Discipline will be added advantage.
English ability in speaking and writing preferred
Knowledge in ISO13845 standard is preferred.
Knowledge in ASME Y14.5 standard is preferred.
Knowledge in ASTM standard is preferred.
Min 3 years of working experiences in the same role within machining environments is preferred..
Successful track record as a Quality Technician is advantageous.
Profound experience of the Quality process (mechanisms) of Medical Device components is preferred..
Experienced in the use of key quality tools such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc will be added advantage.
Well knowledge to interpret technical geometrical drawings is preferred.
Well knowledge to interpret GD&T features is preferred.
Solid experience in Metrology equipment\xe2\x80\x99s such CMM (Zeiss CONTURA preferred but not must), Keyence Optical inspection, Non-contact surface roughness inspection and others common Metrology tools variable and attributes will be added advantage.
Experience in programming of CMM and others is preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technical education with advanced training in Metrology Engineering preferred or any Engineering Discipline will be added advantage.
English ability in speaking and writing preferred

The Production Quality Technician will spend approximately one-third of this time walking or standing. The Production Quality Technician may spend up to 20% of his time at a computer keyboard. He must also be able to take measurements using hand instruments and electronic laboratory equipment. The Production Quality Technician must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate effectively. Since he must visually inspect products, vision must be excellent or corrected.
