To supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure that manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining discipline and safety on the shop floor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production Operations & Supervision
Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and output targets.
Assign and monitor work tasks for operators and technicians according to production plans.
Ensure machines and equipment are operated correctly and maintained in good working condition.
Monitor production output and take corrective action in case of deviations or issues.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure all production activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality requirements, and safety standards.
Conduct line checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
Report and address any quality or process abnormalities immediately.
Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avoid recurrence of issues.
3. Manpower & Resource Management
Manage shift workforce attendance, performance, and discipline.
Plan and coordinate manpower allocation to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
Support training and skill development for operators to enhance competency.
4. Safety, 5S & Housekeeping
Promote a safe working environment and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Ensure proper housekeeping (5S) practices on the production floor at all times.
Report and follow up on near-miss or accident cases immediately.
5. Production Reporting & Coordination
Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, downtime analysis, and daily output records.
Communicate and coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, and Quality departments to resolve production issues.
Participate in shift handovers and ensure smooth communication between teams.
6. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Support Lean, Kaizen, or other improvement projects initiated by management.
Encourage teamwork and proactive problem-solving among operators.
Requirements:
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
in a manufacturing or production supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and quality systems.
Good leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP/MES systems.
Able to work independently and handle shift operations.
Experience in
automotive or electronics manufacturing
will be an added advantage.
