General InformationCountry: MalaysiaState: SelangorCity: PuchongOffice Location: 17 Jalan Puchong 22KMDate posted: 16-May-2024Business Function: Manufacturing/OperationsPosition Type: Full-Time/RegularDescriptionOverall Function:To lead operation team members at Sewing and Upholstery area, and ensure good qualities products produce in accordance with customers\' or specified standards and safety/ Quality system standard are complied with. He / She is also responsible to provide timely production and other performance indices report and any related assignments delegated by the Superior/ Production ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:

• Leading & faclititate a team and support team for daily accountability. Interface with Planner, QA, Material Store, Maintenance, Operation Engineering, and others department.
• Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
• Develop controlled experiments on established standards using Math and Scienes in Sewing & Uphostery section align with Quality Acceptance Standard.
• Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency and identified chronic issues with problem solving method e.g Pareto analysis, etc
• Enable and Empower High Performance Team and Zone Member to improve their standards
• Govern a harassment-free, knowledgeable / aware team environment using effective communication, leveraging Steelcase Culture, Core Values, and Company Strategies
• Participate in Line set up and resources planning to meet on demand.
• Maintain/ meeting production schedules and supervise the production operation in the lines or areas allocated.
• Responsible for general administration e.g., manpower status, attendance, leaves, production set -up, discipline, control and etc
• Responsible to develop HPT (High Perfrmance Team) in every process. Responsible for skill development of production team which includes HPT, Zone members and Specialist.
• To counsel and guide employees in respect of work- and work-related problem affecting their performance and escalate to higher level if deemed necessary
• To perform any other duties as and when required by management.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
• Maintaining and promoting LEAN culture and Principles (FLOW, PROCESS DICIPLINE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT) entire organization.
• Responsible to ensure all operators are trained and follow as per standard.
• Manage a High Mix and Low Volume order model at sewing and upholstery section.
• Managing and control zone member performing duties related to sewing and upholstery.
• Supporting on new template development and new sewing capabilities together with Engineer.
• Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs to enhance team capabilities in Sewing & Upholstery.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency in sewing and upholstery operations.
• Managing the visual aspect on acceptance for the color fabrics, appearance, charactherictic.

• Knowledge of Production management and manufacturing processes with Planning Skill, Inventory Management Skill.

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identifies and addresses problems, meet deadlines and stay within budget.
• Independent and resourceful
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
• Computer literate. IT skills, especially using data analysis software, able to read SPC, analysing IIOT.
• Basic on IR 4.0 program and activities.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia - written and spoken.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members

• Degree/ diploma in Mechanical engineering/textile engineering or relevant qualification
• Technical and vocational in sewing & uplhostery is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing especially in low volume high mix manufacturing environment with LEAN system
• Worked as supervisor in sewing and upholstery line/process

• Strong knowledge of sewing and upholstery techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Skill and knowledge in design, developing and maintain the pattern to the respective fabric variant.
