Job Description


Project Development and Management Ensure effective leadership and result-based management and implementation of the Country Programme and its initiatives / projects, focusing on the achievement of the following results in the area of peacebuilding and community resilience Ensure accountability, quality control and effective oversight of the projects Ensure high quality delivery of policy and technical support services focusing on the achievement of Country Programme results in the area of peacebuilding and community resilience Actively explores, identifies opportunities, establishes and maintain strategic engagement and partnerships, especially with relevant state and non-state stakeholders / partners in Malaysia. Provide leadership and coordination in knowledge building and management in the area of peacebuilding and community resilience focusing on the achievement of Country Programme and Country Office\'s performance. Required Skills and Experience Education: Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Development, International Relations/Politics, or related fields. Experience: A minimum of 2 years (with a Master\'s degree) or a minimum of 4 years (with a Bachelor\'s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing advisory/technical support services in the area of conflict prevention, social cohesion, preventing violent extremism, or peacebuilding Knowledge of internal UNDP processes/procedures Demonstrated experience in collaborating with government agencies, the private sector, communities, or international organisations Proven field experience in conflict prevention, social cohesion, preventing violent extremism, or peacebuilding (i.e. demonstrated familiarity with the area of specialisation) Demonstrated ability in writing good quality project reports, policy briefs, and/or communication and advocacy article/blogs/stories Ability to lead and manage outputs and activities in all phases of project management involving multiple partners and stakeholders (i.e. demonstrated experience in programme or project management) Required Languages: English and Malay - fluent and written form. Travel: Regular official travel within Malaysia is expected to be associated with performing the functions of this position. Deadline: 16 August 2023
