Job Description

Job Responsibilities:



Monitor and control project budgets for oil & gas operations, ensuring all project expenditures are accurately recorded and aligned with approved cost estimates. Prepare and update detailed cost control reports, cash flow statements, and expenditure summaries to support effective project financial management. Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Procurement, and Finance teams to verify all project-related invoices, purchase orders, and claims. Ensure proper cost coding, allocation, and validation of all project expenses, materials, and subcontractor payments. Assist in evaluating project variations, change orders, and scope adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and financial impact assessment. Support the preparation of monthly project progress and cost reports for management review, highlighting key variances and cost deviations. Maintain accurate cost tracking and forecasting systems for ongoing and upcoming oil & gas projects. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to monitor material deliveries, progress claims, and contractual obligations. Ensure compliance with corporate finance, procurement, and QHSSE policies in all cost control and administrative activities. Assist in tender preparation and bid analysis by providing cost breakdowns and comparison summaries as required. Maintain and organize project documentation such as contracts, invoices, timesheets, and progress reports for audit and reference. Work closely with HQ Finance to ensure accurate project financial reporting, reconciliations, and timely submission of cost data. Participate in internal audits, project reviews, and cost validation exercises to ensure transparency and accuracy. Provide administrative support to project teams including scheduling meetings, maintaining communication logs, and tracking project deliverables. Assist in project close-out activities, including final cost reconciliation, documentation archiving, and performance reporting. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying cost control gaps and recommending process enhancements.

Job Requirements:



Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Prior experience in project administration or cost control within the oil & gas, engineering, or construction industry is highly preferred. Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting processes. Familiar with cost coding structures, progress reporting, and project documentation control. Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and project billing procedures. Basic understanding of taxation, invoicing, and accounting principles applicable to project-based work. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with HQ and site teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
