Job Summary: As a Project Control Engineer within the Oil & Gas industry, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing project performance through effective planning, monitoring, and coordination of activities. Your expertise in project management, asset management, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) engineering will contribute to the successful execution of complex oil and gas projects. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Cost Control and Budget Management:
1. Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to allocated budgets.
2. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering initiatives.
3. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
Resource Allocation and Coordination:
1. Assist in resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project execution.
2. Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to optimize resource utilization and resolve conflicts.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
1. Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress and quality.
2. Prepare regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.
3. Analyze data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
Risk Management:
1. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk response plans.
2. Monitor risk factors and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
CMMS and Asset Management:
1. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
2. Utilize CMMS data to track equipment performance, maintenance history, and asset integrity.
3. Utilize asset management principles to optimize the lifespan and performance of equipment and facilities.
4. Work with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
1. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE regulations.
2. Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
Profile
Requirements:
1. Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in project control and management within the Oil & Gas industry.
3. Familiarity with asset management principles and CMMS engineering.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
8. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
2. Experience with industry-specific software and tools for asset management and CMMS.
3. Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel, Words).
