Job Description

A global leader in the development of decarbonization solutions currently constructing a new biofuels production facility in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Analyzing project budgets, tracking expenses, and providing accurate and timely cost reports to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, finance teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes to effectively monitor project expenses.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project budgets and cost estimates.
• Monitor project budgets and compare actual costs against budgeted costs to identify variances and ensure cost control.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and forecasting to provide accurate and timely cost reports to project stakeholders.
• Review and validate project invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests to ensure accuracy and adherence to project budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend measures to improve cost efficiency without compromising project quality and scope.
• Work closely with finance teams to ensure proper allocation of project costs and adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Required:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in building services, civil, mechanical engineering or quantity surveying.
• At least 10 years\' experience in project cost control and budgeting, quantity surveying.
• Relevant working experience in the oil and gas/energy sector and experiences in PCC project will be an advantage.
• Experience in large scale construction progress monitoring.
• Knowledge of building services project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
