Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the

design, planning, and drafting

of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, low voltage and high voltage installations. Prepare and review

shop drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and as-built drawings

using AutoCAD or relevant software. Support

site supervision

to ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and statutory requirements. Participate in

testing, commissioning, and handover

of electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, street lighting, and building electrical installations. Assist superior in

overall project planning, coordination, monitoring, and control

from project initiation through completion and Defect Liability Period (DLP). Coordinate and liaise with

clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities

to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor subcontractors' work progress and ensure

compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations

. Assist in reviewing

progress claims, variation orders, and subcontractor claims

. Support procurement activities by

reviewing vendor submissions, material approvals, and site deliveries

. Provide

technical support and troubleshooting

for site issues and coordinate resolutions with all relevant parties. Conduct

site inspections

, attend project meetings, and prepare technical reports and documentation. Assist in handling

client feedback and complaints

related to electrical works. Perform

ad-hoc duties

as assigned by the immediate superior.

Required Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in

Electrical Engineering

or equivalent. Minimum

1-3 years

of relevant working experience in electrical installation projects (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles). Exposure to

LV and HV electrical systems

, underground cabling, street lighting, or building electrical works is an advantage. Familiar with

local electrical standards and regulations

, including Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB, and relevant authorities. Proficient in

AutoCAD

and basic electrical design calculations. Knowledge of

testing and commissioning

procedures for electrical systems. Strong coordination, communication, and teamwork skills. Able to work independently and under pressure in a

site-based environment

. Willing to travel and be stationed at project sites when required. Possession of

Chargeman / Wireman certification

or intent to pursue professional certification will be an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
