Overview Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France and Malaysia. Role Purpose: To schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Nature of projects will be aerostructures design and stress engineering. Responsibilities: Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering project(s). Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to create and manage reporting matrices indicating overall project(s) heatlh. Assist technical managers in monitoring compliance to customer requirements and specifications. Manage quality metric regularly and assist technical managers in ensuring overall quality control of the deliverables to the client. Manage and maintain overall project(s) budget alongside program manager. Manage project(s) staffing/resourcing alongside with program manager. Develop engineering statement of works (SOWs) Establish and maintain good relationship and close communication with customers and program stakeholders. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Manage the Design Engineering Quality Management System (QMS) alongside the Design Engineering Manager. Reports to Engineering Program Lead / Program Manager / Design Engineering Manager. Qualifications: Desgree in Aerospace, Mechanical or equivalent engineering disciplines. 2 - 4 years experience in engineering project management. Experience in aerospace design will be an added advantage. Good understanding of project management tools / techniques. Strong leadership and multitasking abilities, as well as having a good sense for scheduling and finance. Strong customer focus couple with good interpersonal skills and understanding of all program stakeholders needs. Willingness to engage in non-standard working hours call with overseas customers due to difference time zone. Good mobility to travel overseas within reasonable short notice period. Excellent with customer and internal communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English Proficient in MS Project and MS Excel VBA proficiency will be an added advantage. Exposure to PLM systems (3D Experience, Enovia) will be beneficial.
