Oriental Fastech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Project Engineer
to oversee engineering projects from concept to completion. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and cost-efficiency.
The incumbent will act as a bridge between engineering, production, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, meet all performance requirements, and are executed according to documented work instructions and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects for metal parts and related manufacturing processes.
Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track milestones to ensure timely delivery.
Liaise with customers
on technical clarifications, project updates, and requirement changes.
Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, production, quality, supply chain) to meet project objectives.
Review technical specifications, drawings, and requirements to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Develop, maintain, and enforce
work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation
.
Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates for management review.
Ensure
compliance with safety, quality, ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal work instructions
throughout the project lifecycle.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and post-project evaluations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in project management tools and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Experience in creating and implementing work instructions and SOPs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to liaise directly with customers.
Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, or precision manufacturing is highly desirable.
Authority & Accountability
Lead project execution, resource allocation, and scheduling decisions.
Recommend engineering solutions and process improvements within project scope.
Develop, approve, and ensure compliance with work instructions, SOPs, technical documentation, and regulatory standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
