Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications, quality, and safety standards. The role involves liaising with consultants, clients, and subcontractors, preparing technical documentation, and supporting the Project Manager in overall project execution.

Responsibilities :

Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing construction works. Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work progress meets project timeline and quality requirements. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on technical matters and site issues. Prepare project documentation such as work schedules, progress reports, and site records. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements. Monitor materials usage, manpower allocation, and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at the project site. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve technical problems. Prepare and update project reports using

, or other project management tools. Attend site meetings and report project status, progress, and issues to management. Support the Project Manager in cost control, claims, and variation orders. Ensure proper documentation, filing, and reporting procedures are maintained.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in construction or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site procedures. Proficient in

, and other project-related software. Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Requirements:

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive in managing tasks. Willing to work at project sites and travel when required. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
