Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting and managing the execution of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects from planning through completion. This role involves coordinating site activities, supervising electrical works, liaising with subcontractors and consultants, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for end-to-end M&E or solar project management. Lead overall project execution, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of all project implementation phases. Prepare and manage all project-related documentation, including client contracts, progress reports, and documents required for submission and approval by relevant government authorities. Oversee site preparation and daily site management activities, including developing construction schedules, conducting site meetings with clients and subcontractors, and supervising contractors' installation works. Coordinate testing, commissioning, and preparation of handover documentation to ensure successful project completion. Provide professional engineering and project management services to clients throughout the project lifecycle, including regular progress reporting and technical consultation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related M&E discipline. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in M&E, electrical, or solar construction projects. Candidates with Solar PV installation, project management, or construction experience will be given priority. Possess a valid driving license and own transport. Willing to travel within West Malaysia (Peninsular) and work on project sites. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and work plans. Strong operational, planning, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Strong commercial awareness and cost-control mindset. Effective people-management skills to foster teamwork and collaboration. Team-oriented, adaptable, and practical in approach. Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
