About the role

Alam Kotamas Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team. In this full-time position based in Papar District, Sabah, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Managing the planning, design, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including architects, construction workers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving any technical issues that arise Ensuring projects adhere to all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards Preparing detailed reports, cost estimates, and other project documentation Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in a similar project engineering role, preferably in the construction industry Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction methods Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders Proficient in using engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools
