RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage worksites for new construction as well as remodelling projects,
coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and
objectives.
Provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing
groundwork to ensure that quality standards are being met.
Collaborate with architects, engineers and other specialists, hire laborers and
coordinate their schedules.
Visit sites regularly during construction including bid walks, preconstruction
walks, in-progress visits, punch walks ad closeouts, and attend status and
coordination meetings.
Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including
Installation, testing, commissioning, trouble shooting, design review &
improvement, coordination with vendor.
Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring
specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and
understood.
Responsible for monitoring and tracking project progress against the project
schedule and preparing overall progress report to ensure that work proceeds as
planned and minimizing delays.
Organize workforce for respective work activities and ensure the works are
according to drawings, specifications, procedures, and approved design.
Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the
construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable and that
tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Knowledge of construction methods an technologies and an ability to interpret
technical drawings and contracts.
Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts
on schedule and budget.
Responsible for ensuring any changes or variations to the original plans should be
properly verified, measured, and approved by the client before implementation.
Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy. Identifying problems with
project, taking lead on developing situations.
To co-ordinate all internal & external efforts for proper job execution.
Coordination of all sub-contract works carried out in accordance with the project
schedule.
Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and
standards.
Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years working experiences in project work/ palm oil mill
construction project/ heavy machinery instalment and structural building.
Sound knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to C&S
and M&E engineering.
Hands on experience in engineering and project management will be an added
advantage.
Preferably bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Can speak Mandarin will be
an added advantage.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying
and resolving challenges.
Familiarity with relevant engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and
project management.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and
Autodesk inventor.
A critical thinker, capable of paying close attention to detail and managing time
effectively.
Able to negotiate, make excellent decisions even under pressure and should be
self-motivate.
Registered as Inspector of Works (IOW)
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
