Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting competitive technical and commercial proposals for engineering and water treatment projects.

This role involves detailed understanding of client requirements, tender specifications, cost estimation, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions.

The role also involves supporting project handover to the execution team, providing technical advice at site when required, and participating in meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment across all project stages.

1. Tender Preparation & Submission

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals. Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) to compile tender deliverables. Develop project costing, bill of quantities (BOQ), Ensure timely submission of tenders, proposals, and pre-qualification documents.

2. Technical & Commercial Evaluation

Prepare value engineering options or alternatives for cost optimization. Support negotiation and clarification processes with clients when required.

3. Assisting in Project Handover & Support

Upon award, assist in the handover to the execution team with full documentation and design basis. Provide clarification support during contract finalization and project start-up stages i.e procurement and purchasing Attending project meetings and assist in project handover trainings
Required skills:

- Project management and supervision skills. Good organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills. Good with documentation details.

- Familiar with Mechanical and Electrical knowledge

- Preferably with min 1 year working experience

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Degree preferred. Other disciplines are welcomed

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
