Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of
building and infrastructure projects
. This role covers the full project lifecycle--from initial design through construction to project handover--ensuring projects are delivered
on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards
.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in
civil engineering and infrastructure works
, alongside excellent
stakeholder management and leadership skills
.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Initiation
Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors during planning stages.
Obtain approvals from authorities and internal departments.
Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
2. Project Execution & Supervision
Lead day-to-day site operations to ensure progress aligns with plans.
Monitor schedules, budgets, quality, and HSE compliance.
Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Resolve site issues and implement corrective actions.
3. Cost, Contract & Procurement Management
Support tender documentation, bid evaluations, and negotiations.
Control project costs and evaluate variation orders and claims.
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
4. Stakeholder & Client Relations
Act as main liaison for clients, consultants, agencies, and management.
Conduct progress meetings and issue reports.
Address client concerns and contractual matters promptly.
5. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with statutory regulations, codes, and standards.
Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
Promote a culture of
health, safety, and environment (HSE)
awareness.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and supervise project teams, engineers, and subcontractors.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster collaboration.
Mentor and develop team members' technical and leadership skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timely project delivery within approved budgets.
Full compliance with quality and HSE standards.
Proactive risk management with minimal disruptions.
High client and stakeholder satisfaction.
Cost savings and resource efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in
Civil Engineering, Construction Management
, or related field.
8-12 years
of experience in managing building/infrastructure projects.
Minimum
3-5 years in a leadership role
.
Proven record of delivering
medium to large-scale civil engineering projects
.
Familiarity with
local building codes, regulations, and compliance
.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD).
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
