1. Position Overview
The Project Manager (IT/Technology Projects) is responsible for leading, planning, and executing Meridian's IT and digital transformation projects across healthcare, fintech, and enterprise technology domains. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. This position requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical project delivery experience.
2. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, designers, and QA testers.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
Mentor and support team members to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between clients, management, and technical teams.
Conduct regular project status meetings and progress reports.
Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts proactively.
Risk & Compliance Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with IT governance, data protection (e.g., PDPA), and regulatory standards.
Manage project documentation, contracts, and change requests.
Quality Assurance & Reporting
Monitor project performance against KPIs and deliverables.
Conduct post-project evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
Prepare progress reports for senior management and board reviews.
3. Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in IT project management with proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects.
Certifications (preferred):
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master.
Strong understanding of
SDLC, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies
.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
