Project Manager (MY)

Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing clients in the entertainment industry.

As a Project Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient planning, production and execution of day-to-day operations & coordination as well as long-term projects and executions. You have a passion for entertainment and all things social and work well with people. You thrive on running things in a timely and efficient manner and are a natural problem solver.

Role:

  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for the project management for Malaysia market teams and their day-to-day coordination as well as long-term projects and productions.
  • You ensure daily/regular workflows and processes are efficient, impactful and fast and that they are being adhered to.
  • Identify and assign the appropriate resources on the market teams (or external resources) for work assignments, with an eye to efficiency, impact and appropriateness.
  • Work with Senior Leaders to build and roll out content syndication strategies from other key editorial teams across the region.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement and efficiency, both within the team and externally, including flagging and preempting potential challenges in resource and bandwidth the team might face.
  • Initiate and coordinate meetings among team members and/or clients to facilitate ideation, and help projects and production of day-to-day assets move forward to completion.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are highly aligned and have sufficient context and that communication among everyone is seamless and clear.
  • Lead and manage the team\'s use of tooling and platforms.
You:
  • 7 years+ of experience within the Editorial, Publishing, Content Marketing and Production industries as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator.
  • Proven experience in project management and team management.
  • Experience with tooling and platforms used (or be able to learn quickly).
  • Able to communicate well and manage internal and external teams and workers (eg: freelancers).
  • Have familiarity with production processes (both internal as well as studio/external productions).
  • Understanding different marketing measurement methodologies (eg. creative testing) throughout the planning process.
  • The ability to be self-sufficient, stay motivated and be positive in an often fast-paced environment with many stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentation skills and, ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support the projects spanning APAC.
