About the role
We are looking for a Project Manager who will join our Global Business Services (GBS) division.

Global Business Services provides high quality, scalable and cost-efficient business support services, such as finance, HR and IT, to companies in the Wilhelmsen group.

The Project Manager will takes an active role in the continuous transformation and improvement of our GBS functions and services within Finance and towards our business divisions.

Project Manager in Finance Shared Service (FSS) shall contribute and support the planning, supervise the implementation of and provide operational back-up for the project in close collaboration to the main project management team in Oslo.

What you will be doing

  • Running the FSS\xe2\x80\x99 project portfolio

  • Driving a proactive and hands-on project management process in the FSS through facilitation and co-ordination of activity identification, evaluation, decision and implementation.

  • Leading projects of varying size, including projects related to digitalization, optimization, innovation, process automation and organizational changes

  • Leading cross-functional teams according to the project scope

  • Identifying and qualifying improvement opportunities and translating strategy into actionable plans

  • Advising senior management on business/project issues and decisions

  • Facilitation close working relationships between functions and geographies and towards our customers

  • Conduction effective change management and promote a culture of continuous improvement and transformation

  • Preparation required decision materials and ensuring stakeholder alignment

  • Keeping track of project progress, reporting and dispensing information to the project team members and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • Being one of the primary interface to vendor(s)/contractor(s) to identify, define requirements and scope of developing the systems/solutions applicable to the relevant processes to be transitioned to the FSS

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings

  • Coordinating the transition of new processes into the shared service center and local implementation of supporting systems.

  • Treating all information received as strictly confidential

  • Fulfilling all other tasks delegated by the Superior


Required experience and skills

  • Relevant Master degree in Economics/Business/Finance or equivalent

  • 2 - 4 years of project management experience, preferably from management consulting or a similar role in a global company

  • Experience from successfully managing and implementing complex projects in global organisations

  • Excellent English skills required, written and verbal. Additional Asian/Hindu/Arabic language skills will be advantageous

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to think outside the box

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships across functions and regions

  • Ability to act on own initiative in a proactive, structured and empowered manner

  • Attention to details and ability to set and meet objectives

  • Demonstrated leadership in a professional setting

  • Creative and innovative when necessary

  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Ability/desire to share best practices/key learnings (good & bad).

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Results driven


Location
The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
