Your responsibility will be:
- Drives estimation, work breakdown, and resource allocation for projects and change requests.
- Create and maintain the schedule, drive intermediate deliverables, and ensures project commitments are met.
- Define and track weekly work goals of projects, change requests, and production support issues.
- Manages client, business analyst, and developer activities and priorities to meet expectations.
- Report works goals to management and clients; identifies impacts on the overall project schedule, cost, scope, and quality.
- Ensure and understands requirements for developing digital financial solutions and ensure development activities are compliant with client processes and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations.
- Understand technical issues and escalates issues as needed and drive them to resolution.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with clients while dealing with organizational complexity and competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate schedule changes and challenges both to management and clients
- Sets meaningful personal goals and help others prioritize short-term activities around work team/functional priorities.
- Demonstrate accountability for one own decision and able to articulate rationale without being defensive. Views mistakes as learning opportunities and supports an environment of continuous improvement.
- Effectively solicits and shares complex information within and across work teams, stating own point of view even when difficult or unpopular; listens effectively.
- SPOC for project delivery service and production support service to client on service quality, promptness on client response, keeping the client informed on the progress of production fixes or CR delivery work, tracking CR/project deployment progress and incident status with Nepal development team.
- Work with the development lead in Nepal in ensuring production bug fixes are rectified and deployed as per SLA. Meeting client expectations and ensuring incidents are proactively managed and routed for Management escalation when situations arise.
- To manage and track project scope as per SOW and URS/BRD/FSD. Perform change management on scope variations and prevent scope creep from happening.
- To ensure quality project deliverables by project team members. Accountable for code quality and comprehensive QA test coverage in project work.
- To perform other duties as required by the management
- Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of IT experience, working in banking, financial services, insurance, IT consulting and services, fintech, and retail sectors, including a minimum of 3 years of project management experience as a project manager/product manager.
- Have successfully managed the implementation of IT solutions / Business transformation projects for internal users and external clients.
- Committed to taking on a steep learning curve in acquiring new products and solutions in fintech and remittance services and acting as product owner for the solution delivered to clients.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on time in a fast-changing environment, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Strong project scope and requirements management skills, managing project stakeholders at senior and working levels. Have solid experience in business process mapping.
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices.
- Familiar with project management tools such as Jira and Redmine.
- Proficient in e-Commerce and Mobile App Development for iOS/Android
- Experienced as a software engineer
- Experienced working in a regulated industry
- Certification in project management training
- Experienced in applying Agile, Scrum, or Iterative Development Methodologies
- Experience in managing the in-house development team and off-shore development team solution
