About the project

Since 2016, Earthworm Foundation has been building and providing its Starling service (www.starling-verification.com) to a range of commitment businesses and governments around the world. Starling is an intuitive digital platform that utilizes the best of what satellite technology can offer to provide strong means of reporting forest changes and verifying sustainable sourcing independently. The Starling & Supply Chain Analysis team within Earthworm Foundation is seeking committed people enthusiastic about driving No-Deforestation strategies, guide some of our members to accelerate the implementation and engage across the supply chain related to some of the raw materials we consume every day, such as palm oil, cocoa and paper. Please follow this link to dive deeper into the Starling Programme. Your Mission This role will be part of a passionate team working to resolve critical social and environmental issues globally. In order to achieve the job scope outlined below, you will work closely with other colleagues working on No-Deforestation Verification (NDV) around the world, including data analysts, spatial ana-lysts, industry experts and relationship leads located in Indonesia, Malaysia, LATAM and Europe.

You will also deeply interact with our partners and customers from the private sector as well as their suppliers, governments and other NGOs.

• Develop sustainable work plans and make impactful recommendations aligned with Earthworm\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and priorities in collaboration with supervisor and partners\xe2\x80\x99 ambition to reach Deforestation Free supply chains.
• Lead the implementation of those work plans for a given member/customer, coordinating the work of project teams across the world working on data analysis or stakeholder engagement.
• Lead key external stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 relationships, including liaison with procurement teams as well as with suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 technical teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure project deliverables on time and in line with the workplan schedule, defined budget, and the Earthworm vision. Develop support material as needed.
• Collaborate with coalitions and industry peers to align on No-Deforestation approaches.
• Provide expertise in palm oil supply chains, sustainable procurement and No-Deforestation topics to other internal teams

Your Profile You thrive on human relations and are able to explain your field to a variety of audiences. Your expertise in the field of Palm Oil, No-Deforestation and/or Sustainable Procurement and the strength of your com-munication skills make you a valuable asset to a team. You are proactive, and enjoy bringing creativity to find solutions when facing new challenges.

• Education: Supply Chain, Project Management, Environment Studies & Earth Science, Agriculture & Forestry, Sustainable Development or other relevant domain
• Experience : 2-4 years
• Contract : Open-ended, Full-time, Part-time (minimum 70%) can be discussed
• Location: Preferably Malaysia, possibly Indonesia
• Language: English
