About the job Project Manager / Senior Project Manager (Civil Engineering)Job Responsibilities
Independent in handling top-tier Residential, Commercial, Hospitality projects from design concept to site supervision/coordination.
Competent in checking construction drawings and liaison with Project Team on site/technical issues and provide solutions
Assist Senior Project Manager/Group General Manager and Director in resolving issues relating to land and local authorities.
Evaluate the project\'s buildability and constructability via site surveys and feasibility studies.
Collaborate with specialists on site, such as architects, M&E engineers, and other contractors.
Use specialized expertise to assess the performance of temporary or permanent structures.
Able to read and interpret the drawings, specifications, and conditions of various types of projects.
Responsible with competence in construction planning such as master schedule for entire project cycle, sequence of work, construction methodology, temporary work planning, analyses of cranes, site utilization, logistics, and other aspects of construction planning.
Able to provide value engineering solutions and alternative approaches or methods.
Assist to conduct negotiations with Sub-contractors to determine the method for construction services, wherever required
Verify contractor claims and variations.
To work closely with project team, suppliers, sub-contractors consultants during construction/implementation phase.
Oversee field site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design.
Undertake other duties and responsibilities as instructed by superior.
Job Requirements
Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 years\' experience in the construction industry, ideally with involvement in all stages of a project\'s lifecycle, from tendering to handover (Completed a whole project cycle).
Prior experience in Civil- Infra, Building, or Industrial construction related projects will be advantageous.
Solid technical knowledge in property development, construction and contract administration.
Good interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills including able to work independently and results orientated.
Skillful in critical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
Proactive and ability to work in face-paced environment and in meeting tight deadline.
