Project Planning and Control Specialist

Join us as Project Planning and Controlling Specialist for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be leading, planning, scheduling, and controlling all project phases of individual delivery for large size and complex projects in coordination with the project manager. Reporting to Project Manager and this position will be based in Subang Jaya,Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting project manager by supervising project execution and performing with well-maintained schedule, cost, cash, and risk planning of individual project and taking an active role in escalated customer issues and determines corrective actions to optimize the project performance
• Ensuring that an integrated schedule and cost control performance measurement process for the project\xe2\x80\x99s entire scope of work is provided
• Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, consulting on cost, cash, revenues planning and other project control issues
• Communicating appropriate information to customers and other stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and coaching colleagues regarding the application of methodologies and execution practices
• Participating in project reviews, composing reports, and updating all required project data in project control systems (integrated project management system)
• Communicating project progress and controlling issues to project management team and offering solutions and advising, coaching juniors and issuing progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders
• Working closely with engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, client, and contractors to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of each change in a timely fashion and analyzing impact of risk on the overall timeline and costs
• Communicating with SCM team and updating schedules to ensure procurement activities take place in a timely way and lead times are optimized to meet schedule targets

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management
• Good knowledge in E-House construction, electrical installation, and commissioning either in offshore or plant projects
• Must have experience in water, chemical, oil and gas plant and hands on experience in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft projects
• Experience in Planisware will be an added advantage
