Job Description

The project sales engineer is responsible for helping to sell the projects. He is the link between the (potential) client and his employer. He ensures that enquiries can be successfully turned into project contracts. He is co-responsible for obtaining a sales target defined in terms of order entry and gross margin. He works closely together with his col-leagues and budgeting engineer.
The project sales engineer is part of an international sales team focusing on a region and/or market segment. He reports to the managing director based in ChinaResponsibilities:

• Collect market & competitor info and share it with your colleagues, deliver market insights to the company
• Analyze the demand in Asia and identify and prioritize potential markets and clients
• Select and evaluate new projects according to the local and global sales strategy
• Initiate contacts and build close business relationships with a wide range of prospec-tive and current clients in various industries in Asia
• Visit the exist customers and develop the market
• Assess the customer\'s process and budget
• Translate the needs of the client within the internal organization, work closely with technical division to customize and recommend the right solution
• Prepare the project sales proposal
• Make a professional presentation of the proposed solution
• Discuss the proposal with the client
• Secure new project orders by negotiating the quotation alone or with supporting of MD China or CEO Italy.
• Be informed about the project status in project phase - maintain a good relationship with the client throughout the project phase.
• Evaluate customer satisfaction
