JOB SPECIFICATION \xe2\x80\x93 Professional Services Manager
1. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES.
The PS Manager is accountable to the General Manager for the provision of an effective and efficient Professional Services capability within the KL office of a UK financial technology vendor. Part of the leadership team of a growing team of between 30-40 staff, the PS manager is responsible for the efficient deployment and use of team and company resources to achieve internal and external project goals and ongoing service objectives.
The KL subsidiary is charged with Product Development, Client Support, and client Project Delivery responsibilities for clients globally.
2. KEY OUTCOMES AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES
Effective Team Management
Liase with the UK and KL management team on resourcing
Manage local resource allocation and balance workload
Show flexibility and decisiveness
Make timely decisions on rescheduling and prioritisation
Perform regular staff performance reviews
Identify and set individual and organisational goals; plan their fulfillment
Effective Project Management
Oversee multiple projects for internal development and client delivery.
Ensure strong PM methodology practices are adhered to throughout
Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness in management of projects
Management Reporting
Promote the value and practices of strong management reporting
Work with existing team to develop an effective and suitable reporting structure
Understand the complexities of intra-organisation cross charging
Fiscal Responsibilty
Work with the management to determine project budgetary requirements
Work within project budgetary constraints
Security
Champion the case for strong security and best practices
Understand the requirements of PA-DSS in the vendor environment
Implement working practices to ensure continued compliance with standards
Policy/Procedural Development
Determine policies and procedures to enhance efficiency of operations
Be willing and able to shape policy, not just implement it
Recruitment
Identify and justify hiring requirements, where required
Manage and be responsible for the recruitment of technical staff, where required
KEY REQUIREMENTS (must be able to demonstrate relevant experience)
Relevant sector experience \xe2\x80\x93 must have worked on the technical side within a payment based financial technology vendor
Proven project management skills \xe2\x80\x93 an ability to manage multiple projects and deliver complex projects to tight deadlines
Proven team management skills \xe2\x80\x93 experienced in training, supervising and managing and motivating highly skilled teams of technical staff
Proven client management skills \xe2\x80\x93 commercially aware, tactful, decisive, committed to providing excellent service
Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both with clients and internal.
